Our respite programs form an integral part of the comprehensive support services we offer. Our primary goal is to ensure caregivers feel comfortable, supported, and confident in taking the time you need to rest. If you have secured funding and are ready to arrange respite care for your loved one, we are here to assist you.
Residential Respite Supports-Facility Based
We provide residential respite services for adult with disabilities and complex behavioural needs. Our residential respite support offers 24/7 supervision in a supportive, home-like environment, featuring individualized support plans and structured opportunities for meaningful community integration activities.
Private In-Home Respite Support
Our dedicated respite worker will assume caregiving duties within the comfort of your home. This service can include overnight care and extend over several days or weeks, offering a flexible and supportive option for individuals requiring specialized care while remaining in their familiar environment.
Government Funding Available for Adults with Disabilities
How to Apply for PDD
The Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) program provides support to adult Albertans with developmental disabilities by helping them build essential life skills, including personal care, household management, social interaction, decision-making, and safety awareness. Funding through the PDD program, Family Managed Supports may be applied toward services offered by HNCLAS Homes and our Community Access Supports. Discover PDD eligibility criteria
